Georgia State’s football team has lost one assistant coach and added another.

Wide receivers coach Keary Colbert has resigned to accept a position as an assistant coach at Alabama.

Brock Lough, formerly a graduate assistant, has been hired by Georgia State’s Trent Miles to coach the running backs. Lough took over that position after Tony Tiller was reassigned early during the 2013 season.

Colbert joined coach Georgia State’s staff after a stellar career at USC and six years in the NFL.

The Panthers will return an inexperienced group of receivers for the 2014 season. Robert Davis, a freshman who caught 44 passes for 711 yards last year, will lead the group. Miles must find a way to replace the production of Albert Wilson, who led the team 71 receptions for 1,177 yards.

Miles said Ronnie Fouch, also a graduate assistant, will coach the wide receivers through the Spring practices.
