Coach Jeff Monken describes his favorite play:

“A run play that works.

“The inside veer triple option is the best play in football.

“I’ve been a part of this offense for 17 seasons, and that play still works. It’s still effective. Three different players have the potential to carry the football, based upon what the defense does.

“It forces the defense to play a balanced front and balanced secondary. It’s a fun play to watch and a fun play to see executed. A lot of things have to happen. Decisions are made by different players all during the same play on who to block, who to give the ball to, who is going to carry it, the blocks that happen on perimeter and blocks inside.

“There’s a lot going on. A well-orchestrated triple-option play is fun to watch and difficult to stop.”
