Saturday's SEC Championship Game at the Georgia Dome was a rare sports event -- three teams were involved.

While Alabama beat Florida 29-15 to lock up another trip to the College Football Playoff, Georgia fans watched and waited to confirm that Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart was officially becoming the Bulldogs' next head coach.

Smart's defense dominated Florida, and Alabama's Derrick Henry rushed for 189 bruising yards.

The Crimson Tide held the Gators to just three yards of offense in the second and third quarters.

Smart is expected to replace Mark Richt at Georgia. Richt was dismissed as coach last Sunday and has taken the same job at Miami.
