Chipper Jones doesn’t think Ozzie Albies is ready for majors

Former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones jumped into the Fox Sports’ broadcasting booth during Thursday night’s Braves-New York Mets rain delay to give a scouting report on minor-leaguer Ozzie Albies.
A Special Assistant to Baseball Operations, Jones said he watched the 20-year-old Albies play for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves earlier in the week and while Albies is "coming along nicely," he's not ready to move up yet.
“This is a kid who I think is going to lead this organization going forward,” Jones said. “He does have some flaws that we’ve got to fix and it’s up to us as a staff and as an organization to fix that. ... He’s a very, very good player, but he’s not quite ready yet.”

Jones also talked about what other minor-league prospects are developing nicely during the rain delay.

The Braves and Mets were rained out on Thursday, but the game will be rescheduled.
