Sony Michel could emulate the successes New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has during his rookie season, according to CBS Sports’ Chip Patterson.
On his “Pick Six Podcast,” Patterson compared the former Georiga running back to Kamara during the former Tennessee star’s rookie season.
“I think Sony Michel is this year’s Alvin Kamara... I think he’s going to have a chance to have that level of production,” Patterson said. “I just think that dude’s electric.”
Michel was drafted at No. 31 overall Thursday by the New England Patriots in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Kamara, who played at Tennessee in 2015 and 2016, was named Offensive Rookie of the Year by the NFL after rushing for 728 yards and eight touchdowns and receiving for 826 yards and five touchdowns last season with the Saints.
