Johan Camargo is tearing up Triple-A.

He had three of Gwinnett’s 21 hits as the Stripers beat Norfolk 14-8 Wednesday night at Coolray Field. The Braves’ top affiliate clinched a spot in the 2019 Governors’ Cup Playoffs and reduced its magic number to clinch the International League South Division title to one. Gwinnett has earned its first playoff spot since 2016.

Camargo, who also had a homer and three RBIs, is hitting. 529 after 12 games since being demoted by the Braves. He played second base Wednesday night.

Adam Duvall, who is batting .265, had three hits too. He hit his 30th home run of the season Tuesday. He also has 89 RBIs.

Sean Kazmar Jr. was 5-for-5 at the plate, his second five-hit game of the year for the Stripers.

Catcher Alex Jackson had his team-leading fifth two-homer game of the season, going 2-for-4 with a game-high four RBIs. He has 28 homers.

Austin Riley played left field and went 2-for-5 and is hitting .310.

Gwinnett (78-56) will host games one and two of a best-of-five first-round playoff series on Wednesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 5. Both games will be at 7:05 p.m. against an undetermined opponent. Tickets are available at the Coolray Field Ticket Office and online at GoStripers.com.
