A broken ankle was the only serious injury suffered by participants in the AJC Peachtree Road Race on Saturday.
A runner slipped and fell because of the rain and wet conditions, which led to the injury.
There were no patients that suffered cardiac arrests, according to medical staff at the race.
A few participants were transferred from the course to local hospitals for different conditions, but all were improving, according to the medical staff.
