If you were late to knowing what a nickel defense is, you’re in the company of one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

During Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre’s second year with the Green Bay Packers, Favre herd the term “nickel defense” but was unsure what it meant.

After several weeks pretending like he knew what he knew what coaches meant, Favre ultimately asked quarterback Ty Detmer for clarification.

During 16 seasons with the Packers, Favre threw for 61,665 yards and 442 touchdowns.
