Atlanta United has acquired Anton Walkes on a permanent deal.

Walkes, a 22-year-old centerback or fullback, played for Atlanta United in 2017 while on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in England’s Premier League. Walkes made 17 appearances, including two starts for the Five Stripes.

He returning to Tottenham and was sold to Portsmouth in July 2018. He has made 10 appearances in 2019-20 season for Portsmouth. He made 24 appearances during the 2018-19 season in helping Portsmouth finish fourth in England’s League One.

Walkes will provide depth at centerback for Atlanta United as well as at right back.
