The Gwinnett Stripers lost 8-1 to the Syracuse Chiefs Sunday in Triple-A play but Braves prospect Austin Riley continued his hot weekend for the Stripers.

Riley was 1-for-3 and finished the three-game road series 8-for-12 with two doubles, a homer, two runs and one RBI.

The third baseman is hitting .290 with five homers and 30 RBIs for Gwinnett and .302 with 12 homers and 53 RBIs for three teams this season.

Stripers starter Andres Santiago (2-4) lasted just 2 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and six earned runs. He walked six and struck out one.

Lane Adams went 2-for-4 for Gwinnett (55-61).
