Atlanta Braves pitcher Mike Foltynewicz surprised Due West Elementary School's Kaiden Drum and his third grade class in Marietta on Friday.

All the students in Kaiden’s class received a pizza party with Foltynewicz and a Braves bag filled with stickers, a foam tomahawk and an autographed picture of Foltynewicz.

Here’s how the third grade class reacted when Foltynewicz walked in the classroom.

Foltynewicz served the class pizza and filled up their cups with soda during the students’ lunch break.

Kaiden, a Braves fan and neighbor of Foltynewicz, became friends with the MLB star when Kaiden was shooting hoops in his driveway one day.

“I ran down there and he was just chilling out there. He goes, 'Hi, sir,' and I'm like, 'No, you can stop that right away,' and I just kind of shot around with him,” Foltynewicz said. “I'll just go down there if I see him outside ever since then. He's kind of my little buddy."

Foltynewicz said Kaiden will come over to his home to hang out and ask him questions about the Braves.

"He's a great dude. He's always coming over,” Foltynewicz said. “He's a big Braves fan and I wanted to come over here and surprise him with Folty’s Fridays. We are trying to get that little thing started and give back to the community of Cobb County. It's a good starting point."

Foltynewicz left a message for Braves fans about the first Folty Fridays and what fans can do to get involved.

The Braves begin a three-game home series against the Washington Nationals on Friday night at 7:35 p.m.
