How the winning run scored: Henry Rodriguez hit a two-run homer off G-Braves starter Sean Gilmartin in the fourth, giving Louisville a four-run edge that Gwinnett could not overcome. The second game of the scheduled doubleheader at Coolray Field ended too late for the print edition.

At the plate: Gwinnett center fielder Brandon Boggs hit his fourth home run of the year, a two-run shot in the first inning that helped Gwinnett to an early 3-2 lead. Right fielder Joey Terdoslavich hit two more doubles, giving him 18 thus far while raising his average to .329.

On the mound: Gilmartin (2-3, 4.23) gave up two homers and seven runs in four innings, losing in his third straight start. After going 2-0 with a 2.40 ERA in his first five starts, Gilmartin has give up 19 hits and 13 earned runs with six walks in his last 14 1/2 innings.

What's next for the G-Braves: Gwinnett concludes a four-game series with Louisville, G-Braves right-hander Omar Poveda (3-2, 2.35) facing right-hander Chad Reineke (3-3, 4.10). Gametime is 6:05 p.m.
