Hawks rookie Trae Young was named to the All-NBA Las Vegas Summer League Second Team, it was announced Tuesday.

Young, the No. 5 overall pick in the NBA Draft last month, appeared in four games in Las Vegas for the Hawks’ entry. He averaged 17.0 points, 6.8 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 25.8 minutes. In one game, Young played just one half after suffering a right quad contusion. Young shot 38.3 percent (18 of 47) from the floor, including 38.7 percent (12 of 31) from 3-point range.

Josh Hart was named the MVP of the event as he averaged 24.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals in six games while leading the Lakers to the championship game Tuesday night against the Trail Blazers.

The rest of the First Team is the Bulls’ Wendell Carter Jr., the Knicks’ Kevin Knox, the Cavaliers’ Collin Sexton and the Bucks’ Christian Wood. Carter is from Pace Academy and Duke and Sexton is from Pebblebrook High and Alabama.

Also on the Second Team is the Suns’ Deandre Ayton, the Trail Blazers Wade Baldwin IV, the Grizzlies’ Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Lakers’ Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk.
