* The last time the Hawks won seven straight games was the 19-game win streak of last season.

* The Hawks entered the game third in the NBA is assists per game at 25.0 and finished with a season-high 37.

* On his way to a career-high 25 points, Kent Bazemore was 10 of 15 from the field, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range. The 10 field goals was also a career-high. He added four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

* The Hawks scored 73 second-half points. In their last three games, they are averaging 65.3 second-half points.

* The Wizards starters were a combined minus-67.

* Al Horford moved past Zaza Pachulia for seventh place on the Hawks’ all-time offensive rebounds list with 1,248.

* The Hawks continued their regiment of rest by sitting reserve center Tiago Splitter. Coach Mike Budenholzer said the move was made easier with Mike Muscala closer to full health following a right ankle sprain.

It was a tale of two halves for the Hawks. They shot 35.4 percent (17 of 48) in the first and 59.1 percent (26 of 44) in the second. After trailing 90-88 with 6:49 left, the Hawks closed the game on a 26-9 run to end the game. They found energy when it mattered most after a difficult week.

Defense: B-plus

The Hawks got caught trading baskets with the Wizards for a good part of the game. They did limit the Wizards to 19 first-quarter points and 21 fourth-quarter points. When you collect 26 turnovers, 15 combine by the backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal, it says something. Of the Wizards’ 26 turnovers, 13 were steals.
