UPDATE: Jeff Teague was inactive for Wednesday's game. Dennis Schroder will start in his place, his first career start.

Hawks starting point guard Jeff Teague is unlikely to play in tonight’s game at the Cavaliers due to a strained left hamstring. The team listed him was doubtful. There is no indication on how long the injury could sideline Teague.

Teague suffered the injury during the first half of Monday’s win over the Bulls. He had 12 points, seven assists, one steal and one blocked shot in the Hawks’ 93-86 win. He told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after the game that the inury prevented him from being explosive.

Teague leads the Hawks in scoring (16.8 points) and assists (7.0).

Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said the team would continue to evaluate Teague before the team departed for Cleveland Tuesday.

“I think we will monitor him over the next day or so and hope for the best,” Budenholzer said.

Following Wednesday’s game, the Hawks play at the Rockets Saturday, at the Mavericks Monday and home against the Clippers Wednesday.
