Report card

Offense: A

The Hawks were very solid. They built a 16-point first half lead. They answered every time the Thunder made a run, including closing to within a point at intermission and tying the game at 96-96 with 1:35 left. Paul Millsap (26), Jeff Teague (25) and Horford (21) were outstanding. Save for a 22-point second quarter, the Hawks were efficient.

Defense: A

The Hawks had to withstand several Thunder runs – including an 18-2 streak to end the second quarter and a 15-2 run in the fourth quarter that tied the game. Russell Westbrook got away from them for 17 fourth-quarter points. Kent Bazemore came in with 45 seconds left, with the Hawks up by two, to guard Westbrook. He forced a turnover – a Sefolosha steal – that was the biggest play of the game and the Hawks converted it into a four-point advantage.
