The Hawks took advantage of a four-day break in their schedule and had three players assigned to the NBA Development League this weekend. All three were in action Saturday night.

Tim Hardaway Jr. and Edy Tavares played for the Canton Charge in a home 116-93 loss to the Iowa Energy. Lamar Patterson played for the Austin Spurs in a 137-132 home win over the Reno Bighorns. Here is how they fared:

* Hardaway scored 15 points on 3 of 12 shooting, including 0 of 4 from 3-point range. He was 9 of 11 from the free-throw line. Hardaway started at guard and added two rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes. He was a minus-23.

* Tavares finished with four points and two rebounds. The center came off the bench and played 13 minutes. He was 1 of 1 from the field and 2 of 2 from the free-throw line.

* Patterson scored 19 points on 7 of 17 shooting, including 2 of 6 from 3-point range. He started a guard and added 10 assists and eight rebounds in 32 minutes.

The three players likely will be recalled to the Hawks in the coming days. The Hawks next play at the Mavericks on Wednesday. The Canton Charge don’t play again until Wednesday and Austin Spurs won’t play again until Friday.
