The NBA released its third and final update of All-Star balloting Thursday and the three Hawks candidates are still not among the leaders. Fan balloting ends Jan. 20.
In the Eastern Conference, the injured Al Horford and Paul Millsap are not among the top 15 vote-getters in the frontcourt. Jeff Teague is not among the top 10 vote-getters in the backcourt. The Hawks were not among the leaders in any of the three balloting updates.
Heat forward LeBron James leads all players with 1,076,063 votes. As voting stands, he would be joined in the East’s starting lineup by the Pacers forward Paul George, Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving.
Thunder forward Kevin Durant leads all players in the West and his second to James with 1,054,209 votes. As voting stands, he would be joined in the West’s starting lineup by Rockets center Dwight Howard, Clippers forward Blake Griffin, injured Laker guard Kobe Bryant and Warriors guard Stephen Curry.
Following the conclusion of fan voting, results will be announced on Jan. 23. The reserves will be voted on by league coaches and announced on Jan. 30.
The All-Star game will be played in New Orleans on Feb. 16.
