Steve Holman named best play-by-play announcer

Aug 3, 2015Hawks radio announcer Steve Holman won the Gabby Award for Best Sports Play-by-Play announcer by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters this weekend.
Holman was honored at the association’s awards ceremony at the Jekyll Island Convention Center Saturday.
Holman was named the 2014 Georgia Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscaster and Sportswriters Association last year. He was also honored by the Georgia State House of Representatives earlier this year for this 30-year career.
Holman has broadcast 2,237 straight Hawks games, includuing regular season and playoffs.
