Four days after season-ending surgery on his right hip, Tiago Splitter posted on social media that he is “feeling very well.”

The Hawks reserve center opted for surgery after his hip bothered him much of the season. Splitter, who would not disclose the exact nature of the surgery, went to New York to the Hospital for Special Surgery for the procedure on Thursday.

On Monday, Splitter posted the following message on Instagram: What’s up! 4 days after my surgery, I’m feeling very well and all the phisiotherapy (sic) is helping me a lot. I would like to thank everyone who support me, soon I will be on the court playing with Hawks and for the Brazilian National Team.

Prior to the surgery, Splitter said the recovery time would be at least eight months. He will miss the 2016 Rio Olympics and likely the start of the next NBA season.
