The Hawks will hold their first workout in their new practice facility on Wednesday.

The guard posted several pictures of the new building on Tuesday on Twitter. The Hawks held their last practice at Philips Arena before departing on a season-opening road trip last week. The Hawks flew home from Miami after Monday’s game after four road contests. They will practice and depart for Chicago on Wednesday for the final of a five-game trip.
The Hawks home opener is Friday at the refurbished Philips Arena.
The Hawks broke ground on the $50 million facility, built in partnership with Emory Healthcare, in June of last year. It was scheduled to be completed this month.
Some team officials have moved their offices into the building.
The facility, located in Brookhaven’s Executive Park, is called the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. The Hawks’ side of the complex will be named Emory Healthcare Courts. The Emory Sports Medicine Center will house the entire sports medical division. The facility will also feature a location for P3, a world-renowned training facility located in Santa Barbara, Calif.
The Hawks see the complex as a jewel that will offer its players the best in training and healthcare and also attract other players to the team.
Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer has looked forward to the day the team could move into the facility.
“We are the ones who are fortunate enough to get to live in it and feel it and breathe it every day,” he said at the groundbreaking ceremony. “It really is a game changer. We couldn’t be more excited, thankful and grateful.”
