Mike Scott will be inactive against the Thunder on Thursday due to a knee injury. The reserve forward did not play in Wednesday’s win over the Mavericks and now it appears a left knee contusion was at least partly the reason.

Scott was to warm up in advance of Thursday’s game before a decision was made on his status.

According to Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer, Scott “banged knees a couple games ago.”

Scott was not listed on the Hawks’ injury report posted late Thursday afternoon. He played 17 minutes against the Lakers last week before the Hawks had four straight days without a game. He had 14 points, three rebounds and three assists in the win. The return of Tiago Splitter to the lineup Wednesday also played a part in Scott not playing.

Tiago Splitter will also not play against the Thunder. He returned Wednesday after missing seven straight games with a sore right hip. Budenholzer said Splitter did not re-aggravate the injury.

“He came out very well and I think we were really happy with how Tiago played, with how Tiago moved,” Budenholzer said. “He was dynamic and active. Coming off 10 days to two weeks of not playing to not play a back to back just seems like the prudent thing to do.”

Splitter played 12 minutes and had four points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal.
