UPDATE: Scott suffered a broken left big toe, according to a person familar with the situation. The team did not immediately respond to a request for an update on Scott's status. The team will likely have Scott visit a foot specialist. There was no immediate timetable of how much time Scott could miss. The injury was orginially diagnosed as a sprain.

Mike Scott will not play in Friday’s game against the Suns due to the left big toe strain.

The reserve forward did not practice Friday morning. He was injured during Wednesday’s loss at the Nuggets.

“He won’t be available tonight,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said after the workout.

Scott has appeared in 60 games this season and averaged 7.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 15.8 minutes. Budenholzer said he would use a combination of Pero Antic, Elton Brand and perhaps Mike Muscala to replace Scott.

Dennis Schroder (right ankle sprain) and John Jenkins (left wrist strain) both took part in shootaround and it appears they will play.

“They are a little banged up but my guess is they will play,” Budenholzer said.
