Mike Scott is nearing a return from the sprained left big toe after completing a full practice with the Hawks Friday.
The forward and valuable member of the bench has missed the past 11 games with the injury suffered March 11 at the Nuggets. He could return to the lineup as soon as Saturday’s game against the Nets. The Hawks have listed Scott as quetionable on the team’s injury report.
“We’ll evaluate tomorrow to see how he feels after today,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “But I think he is getting close. We are hopeful that it is soon.”
Dennis Schroder, also dealing with a sprain left toe, was at practice but don’t participate. He has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Nets. According to Budenholzer, Schroder took part in only shooting drills. The reserve point guard was injured against the Bucks on Monday. He did not travel with the team for Tuesday’s game at the Pistons. Schroder is day-to-day with the injury.
Neither Scott nor Schroder were made available to the media Friday.
