Scott to miss Hawks’ season opener

Mike Scott will miss the Hawks regular-season opener due to continued problems with his left knee. He will be inactive for tonight’s game against the Wizards.

The Hawks forward has been limited in training camp and missed Wednesday’s practice with the issue.

Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer did not elaborate on the nature of the injury or a recovery timetable.

“Left knee and we are just learning more and trying to figure it out,” Budenholzer said.

The Hawks will also be without Tiago Splitter (right hamstring strain) will also be inactive for the Hawks.
