Taurean Prince had 18 points in his NBA Development League debut on Friday night. The Hawks rookie played for the Long Island Nets in a 111-95 loss to the Delaware 87ers.

Prince was 7 of 14 from the field, including 2 of 5 from 3-point range, with eight rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes.

Prince was assigned to the D-League for extra playing time. Long Island is scheduled to play the 87ers again at home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Long Island also has home games on Jan. 4 and 6.

Prince, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, has appeared in 20 games for the Hawks and averaged 3.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 10 minutes.
