Hawks rookie Adreian Payne had 14 points and six rebounds in his debut for the Austin Spurs in a 121-106 NBA Development League win over the Los Angeles Defenders Thursday night.

Payne shot 6 of 10 from the floor, including 1 of 2 from 3-point range, in his 18 minutes off the bench. The center also had three assists, threes blocks and one steal.

Payne is on his third D-League assignment after playing six games in two stints with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Payne will likely remain with Austin through the weekend. The Spurs play at the Santa Cruz Warriors Friday.
