Payne scores eight in D-League game
Hawks rookie Adreian Payne had eight points and 10 rebounds for Austin in a 149-146 win over Reno Sunday in an NBA Development League assignment game.
Payne played 23 minutes off the bench and added three assists, blocked shot and had four turnovers. He was 4 of 7 from the field.
Next up is the annual D-League Showcase tournament, which will be played in Santa Cruz Thursday through Monday.
