Hawks rookie Adreian Payne has been ruled out of Saturday’s home opener against the Pacers due to a foot injury.

According to the Hawks injury report issued Friday, Payne will not play due to plantar fasciitis in the left foot.

Payne, the team’s first-round draft pick, was inactive for Wednesday’s season opener at the Raptors. The Hawks did not provide an injury report prior to that game meaning, according to NBA rules, that all players were healthy.

The injury report did not specify how long Payne would be out.
