Patterson, Tavares moving on in D-League playoffs
There will be another round of playoffs for Lamar Patterson and Edy Tavares.
The Hawks rookies were part of the Austin Spurs 89-88 victory over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the deciding Game 3 of their NBA Development League series Saturday afternoon.
The Austin Spurs advance to the Western Conference Finals and await the winner of the Reno Big Horns-Los Angeles D-Fenders series. The D-Fenders lead the best-of-three series 1-0.
Patterson finished with six points and four rebounds in 23 minutes. Tavares finished with two points and eight rebounds in 12 minutes.
