Hawks All-Star forward Paul Millsap was named Player of the Week in the Eastern Conference for games played April 4-10 on Monday.

Millsap led the Hawks to a 3-0 week with wins over the Suns, Raptors and Celtics. He averaged 19 points and led the NBA in both rebounds at 15.7 and blocks at 4.33 in the span.

The Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns won the award in the Western Conference.

For the week, Millsap:

* Had 13 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists and three steals in a 103-90 win over the Suns on April 5.

* Had 13 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks in a 95-87 win over the Raptors on April 7.

* Had 31 points, 16 rebounds, five blocks, three assists and two steals in a 118-107 win over the Celtics April 9. He is the first player in NBA history to have at least 30 points, 15 boards, five blocks and five 3-pointers in the same game.

“I’m very happy for him,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “Obviously, he does a lot of things well and fills up the stat line. I think the rebounding, the blocked shots and the defense are always what we prioritize.”

Millsap’s Hawks teammate Jeff Teague was also a nominee for Player of the Week award, along with the Pistons’ Reggie Jackson, Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Clippers’ Jamal Crawford.
