Shelvin Mack underwent successful surgery to repair a Grade 5 separation of the right shoulder on Tuesday. The timetable of a 3-4 month recovery remains following the procedure.

The Hawks guard was injured in the closing minutes of the season-ending Game 4 loss to the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals.

Mack was wearing a shoulder sling during exit interviews last week prior to the operation. He said then that he expects to be able to shoot before the start of training camp on Sept. 29.
