Korver to host charity dodgeball tournament

Kyle Korver will host a dodgeball tournament next month to benefit his charitable foundation.

The Dodge Barrage will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 at Georgia Tech. The event will feature a round-robin dodgeball tournament. The winning team will advance to play Korver, the Hawks shooting guard, and some of his teammates. Participants may dress in costumes.

This will be the fourth time Korver, has hosted a dodgeball tournament for the Kyle Korver Foundations, which has a mission to break the poverty cycle. It will be the first time he has hosted such an event in Atlanta.

In April, Korver hosted a miniature golf and amusement event on the roof of the Ponce City Market to benefit his foundation and other non-profit organizations in Atlanta.

For the dodgeball tournament, a team will consist of between six and 10 players. Cost to enter is $500 per team (early bird by Aug. 31) and $350 per student team (by Sept. 19). Spectator tickets are $20. More information on the dodgeball tournament can be found at http://kkfdodgebarrage.com/.
