Dwight Howard climbed another rung of the all-time rebounding list on Wednesday. The Atlanta native moved past former Hawks player Bob Pettit and into 18th place on the NBA/ABA all-time list with 12,855 rebounds. Pettit finished his career with 12,849 rebounds. Howard is 88 rebounds away from moving past Jerry Lucas for 17th place.

Howard, who spent last season with the Hawks, had 24 points and six rebounds for the Hornets in a 118-103 win over the Bulls Wednesday.

Howard is the only active player on the NBA/ABA all-time rebound list. Of the top 20 rebounders, only four are not in the Basketball Hall of Fame - Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, who are not yet eligible, Buck Williams and Howard.
