Dwyane Wade ruled himself out of Friday night’s game against the Hawks with a hamstring strain.

“Tonight I’m not playing,” Wade told reporters at the team’s shoot-around at Georgia Tech. “It’s as simple as that. It’s just not smart for me to try and push it.”

The Heat are playing three games in four nights.

The Hawks will be without DeMarre Carroll for a second straight game with a groin strain. The small forward will be replaced by Thabo Sefolosha in the starting lineup. Also, on the Hawks injury report, reserve forward Mike Scott will likely play. He missed the past game with a lower back contusion. Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said a final decision will be made following pre-game warmups but that it appears Scott will be available.

The Hawks have back-to-back games and will play at the Cavaliers Saturday night.
