The Hawks will play the Pistons as part of a five-game exhibition schedule this year. The game will be in Detroit at the new Little Caesars Arena on Oct. 6.

The Hawks have not released their preseason slate. However, four of the other games have already been disclosed based on opponent releases. The Hawks will play at the Heat, Pistons and Cavaliers and host the Pistons and Grizzlies. The home games will likely be played at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion as there are ongoing renovations to Philips Arena.

The Hawks’ complete exhibition schedule is expected to be released this week.

Here is the schedule:

* Oct. 1 at Heat, 6 p.m.

* Oct. 4 at Cavaliers, 7 p.m.

* Oct. 6 at Pistons, 7 p.m.

* Oct. 9 vs. Grizzlies, 7:30 p.m.

* Oct. 12 vs. Mavericks, 7:30 p.m.
