As expected, the Hawks waived center Dexter Pittman and guard Jarell Eddie Tuesday. Both were training camp invites.

The moves leave the Hawks with a roster maximum of 15 players, all under contract.

Pittman has played parts of four NBA seasons with the Heat, Grizzlies and Hawks. He played two games with the Hawks last season after signing a 10-day contract. He was a second-round pick of the Heat out of Texas in 2010. He won an NBA championship with the Heat in 2011-12 season. He played sparingly for the Hawks during the exhibition season. He appeared in one game and had two points and two rebounds in 8:42.

Eddie went undrafted out of Virginia Tech. He played with the Wizards during the 2014 Las Vegas Summer League. He appeared in three exhibition games and had eight points and two rebounds in 39:17 for the Hawks.
