What they said after Hawks’ 102-78 loss to the Trail Blazers Wednesday night:

“Obviously, it wasn’t a good night for us. We struggled offensively. When you don’t see the ball go it that many times, I think it affected us overall, our defense. Defensively, there were times when we were good. LaMarcus Aldridge, I thought we did a decent job on him defensively. Their ball movement and just their team play was impressive. Their defense, give them credit for our poor performance offensively. It just wasn’t our night.”

- Coach Mike Budenholzer’s opening statement

“We’ve shot the ball so well this year. We’ve developed a lot of confidence that way. I think when the shots weren’t falling and we weren’t getting good looks, I think some frustration set in.”

- Budenholzer on whether the Hawks got frustrated with poor shooting

“No. I think it was a tough night for the whole group. I think Kyle’s health, the health of the whole group, we base all of our decisions on what is best for the group. Keeping Kyle healthy and keeping the group moving forward is important to us. He is a competitive guy. He is going to want to be ready to play our next game. It’s a heck of a streak. We all feel fortunate to be a part of it. He is an amazing competitor. He is an amazing shooter. We’ll all move on.”

- Budenholzer on if he considered playing Kyle Korver in the fourth quarter to continue his 3-point streak

“Yes.”

- Budenholzer on whether Lou Williams is healthy as he played just five minutes

“It wasn’t our night. Stick together.”

- Budenholzer on what he told the team following the game

“It was just a bad game overall for us. I’m a little bummed, for sure. It was good while it lasted. Someday I’ll look on it and be proud. Obviously, it was just a tough night all around for us and I was part of it.”

- Kyle Korver on the end of his NBA-record 3-point streak

“No. We are getting blown out. I never wanted to keep it going like that. So, if he put me in, I would have went in.”

- Korver on if he wanted to play in the fourth quarter to try to extend streak

“We just didn’t execute very well. We had a hard time getting good looks and then it felt like they had an open shot every time. They were just driving and kicking out for 3’s and it really got us on our heels. Not one of our better games.”

- Korver on Hawks’ poor shooting night as a team

“It just happens like that. I just happened on the wrong game. We just had a bad night.”

- Jeff Teague on Hawks’ poor shooting

“We just missed shots. We got good looks. We got a couple open looks. We just missed them tonight.”

- Teague on Hawks’ loss

“We just wanted to play good team defense. I think our defense was pretty good. We just couldn’t make any shots. It’s tough when you don’t get any shots to go and you have to go back and grind on the defensive end. They are a talented team. They have a lot of shooters on the floor and they spread us out, drove us and kicked for 3’s and they were making them tonight.”

- Teague on defensive effort against Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard

“I don’t have any thoughts on it.”

- Lou Williams on playing five minutes

“I’m happy that I finally got back on the court and got some game time but I’m sad that we lost. This is our job. We are professionals. We’ll learn from it and be stronger the next day.”

- Pero Antic on return after missing 17 games with right ankle stress fracture

“It feels OK. To be honest, it feels a little bit sore. But it is normal after six weeks out. It’s different to run straight on the treadmill then on the court, where you stop, start and push off. Slowly, slowly, I’m happy how it went. I hope it is going to go even better in a few days.”

- Antic on how his ankle felt after the game

“They were switching a lot of the pick-and-rolls, contesting shots. We just missed some shots that we usually knock down. You have to give them a lot of credit. They play good defense. And their offense is excellent they way they were moving the ball side-to-side.”

- Elton Brand on Hawks’ poor shooting

“It was the same thing that happened to us. He got some of his regular looks and he missed. We doubled him and it gave some other guys open 3’s.”

- Brand on defensive effort against LaMarcus Aldridge

“It’s been amazing being a part of it. It hurts to end it. It felt like it could go on forever. He’s knocking them down every game. He’s just a great player, I’m happy to have him on my team.”

- Brand on end of Kyle Korver’s 3-point streak

“We just couldn’t hit no shots. Everybody has those nights. We just missed them. When Kyle Korver is missing wide-open looks, it’s a rough night.”

- DeMarre Carroll on Hawks’ loss

“Yes. We were trying to let our defense help us. We were missing easy looks on the break. It was just one of those games. You have those games. Out of 82 games, you have those games. We shot it bad. We have to bounce back.

- Carroll on whether frustration mounted as game progressed
