The Hawks announced a continued increase in viewership as the team is off to the best starts in franchise history.
Television viewership through 39 broadcasts on SportSouth is up 61 percent in the Atlanta market, according to the team.
The Hawks are averaging an announced attendance of 16,328 for its 20 home games, an increase of 2,200 compared to last season. Five of the past six games have been announced as sellouts. The Hawks are 24th in the NBA in average attendance with a total of 326,552 fans. The Bulls remain the NBA leader in average attendance at 21,904 through 22 home games.
The Hawks currently led the Eastern Conference by five games with a 34-8 record and have won 13 straight games headed into Wednesday’s contest with the Pacers.
