Quote of the game

“As a whole, we just have to decide if we want to be a great team. Do we want to do it or not? I think it’s all here. I think we are very capable of it. A lot of us have to play better.” – Kyle Korver

Report card

Offense: C

The Hawks were better in the second half after a slow start. They shot 39.5 percent in the first half and were 1 of 7 from 3-point range in the first quarter. After missing two wide-open 3-pointers, Korver made 3 of 5 from long range in the second half. Kent Bazemore had 18 of his 21 points after intermission.

Defense: D

Despite missing Paul Millsap, the Hawks were not good defensively against the Suns. Using the term injury-depleted to describe the Suns is not strong enough. Chandler’s offensive rebounding speaks for itself. After tying the game at 77-77 on a Bazemore 3-pointer, they let Archie Goodwin pushed the ball up court all the way for a dunk that started an 8-0 run.
