The Hawks signed rookie Jarell Eddie to a 10-day contract Thursday after the guard passed his physical.

Eddie, who was in training camp with the Hawks, appeared in 37 games for the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League. He averaged 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 25.6 minutes. Eddie won the D-League 3-Point Contest at last month’s All-Star weekend.

The Virginia Tech product will wear No. 3.
