More rest.

The Hawks will play at the Lakers Sunday night without starters Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll and Paul Millsap on the first night of back-to-back games. The Hawks play at the Kings Monday and intend to rest starters Al Horford and Kyle Korver.

The moves clear the way for fresh legs in the final two games of this six-game trip against the Warriors and the Thunder.

The Hawks will start Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore and Pero Antic against the Lakers, allowing Horford to move to the power forward spot.

“There are lots of different positives,” coach Mike Budenholzer said. “Looking at different groups together, looking at guys in different situations and different moments in games. It will be good for us.”

This this the fifth time the Hawks have rested at least two starters in a game this season, all on the road. They are 3-1 in those contests.

“It’s been a little more of just the schedule,” Budenholzer said of resting on the road. “Earlier in the season we have those four games in five nights all on the road. This is obviously on the road. We look at the schedule and figure out what is best for everybody.”

Lakers coach Byron Scott said it didn’t concern him when teams rest players.

“It doesn’t bother me,” Scott said. “I could care less one way or the other. It’s not my team.”
