Hawks recall Payne from D-League

Nov 23, 2014As planned, the Hawks recalled rookie Adreian Payne from a two-game NBA Development League assignment with Fort Wayne on Sunday.
Payne appeared in two games with the Mad Ants Friday and Saturday. He averaged 12.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 31.1 minutes. His statistics included a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds Saturday.
Payne, the first-round draft pick, has not appeared in a game this season for the Hawks. The D-League stint was to get the forward/center some valuable playing time.
