* Anthony Davis joined Michael Jordan (twice), Charles Barkley, LeBron James, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Glen Rice, Amare Stoudemire and Kevin Love to have 43-point, 10-rebound games against Hawks.
* The Holiday brothers have met before as opponents. This time with the Hawks’ Justin plays against the Pelicans’ Jrue there will be a little more competition. Justin is playing a greater role with the Hawks than he did with the Warriors when the two met four times last season. Justin enjoys the competition. “It’s just basketball,” he said. “It’s not like we’re going to war or anything. I like it. I still enjoy watching my brother play. If I can watch him play and I’m still playing in the same game, that’s a good game for me.”
* The Holiday’s had a good amount of family in New Orleans for the meeting including their father and some cousins.
* The Pelicans entered the game with an 0-4 record and with a lengthy injury list. Of the Pelicans’ start, Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said “They’d probably like to talk to the commissioner about playing Golden State twice in their first four games. That doesn’t sound fair.”
