A brief recap of the Hawks’ first-round playoff series victory in Game 1 vs. the Nets:

How the game was won: The Hawks led nearly start to finish and Kyle Korver's game-high 21 points were the most he's scored since the All-Star break.

Atlanta’s sixth consecutive victory against the Nets did not come easily. Brooklyn pulled to within 93-89 on a floater by Thaddeus Young with 1:33 left. Jeff Teague then drained a floater and soon added two free throws to create space.

Atlanta was out-rebounded 47-39 and Paul Millsap (six points) struggled to 2-of-11 shooting, but the Hawks were well balanced elsewhere with Al Horford going for 10 points and 10 rebounds, DeMarre Carroll and Teauge scoring 17 each, and Dennis Schroder adding 13 points off the bench.

Turning point: The Hawks never trailed after Korver's first 3-pointer gave them a 3-2 lead, but the Nets closed a 10-point halftime deficit to 57-54 with a 9-0 run early in the second half. After a timeout with 8:22 left, Atlanta scored 10 consecutive points and 15 of the game's next 17. That run included 3-pointers by Carroll, Korver and Schroder.

Number: Plus-15. Atlanta outscored the Nets by 15 points on 3-pointers, making 10 of 30 to the Nets' 5 of 20. Korver hit 5 of 11.

Next: The Hawks and Nets will play Game 2 of the series at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Philips Arena.
