Hawks forward Paul Millsap was a nominee for the NBA’s Players of the Week award for the week of Dec. 22-28. The awards were won by the Bulls’ Jimmy Butler and the Rockets’ James Harden.

Butler helped the Bulls to a 4-0 week by averaging 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 blocks.

Harden help the Rockets to a 2-1 week by averaging a league-best 34.7 points, 7.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals.

The Hawks went 3-1 in the week that started with road-home back-to-back wins over the Mavericks and Clippers. Millsap averaged 17.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.0 blocks. It is the third time Millsap has been a nominee this season. Center Al Horford won the award for the Eastern Conference last week.

Other nominees were the Nets’ Jarrett Jack, Pistons’ Andre Drummond, Clippers’ Jamal Crawford and Blake Griffin, Pelicans’ Anthony Davis, Suns’ Eric Bledsoe, Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews and Raptors’ Kyle Lowry.
