A brief recap of the Hawks’ third straight win:

How the game was won: Paul Millsap scored 14 of his 20 points in the first quarter and Jeff Teague scored all 17 of his in the second half as the Hawks took a 16-point lead barely three minutes into the contest only to end up having to come from behind to win.

Al Horford pitched in 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Atlanta made 14 3-pointers. Yet when they weren’t making the long ball the Hawks had issues. They turned the ball over 11 times in the second quarter and missed 13 of their final 16 shots in the period to trail 45-42 at haltime.

A 34-point third quarter, in which Atlanta turned the ball over just once, turned the game.

Turning point: A 7-0 run in the third period gave the Hawks the lead for good. Teague scored on consecutive drives, and Korver added a 3-pointer — after a steal by DeMarre Carroll for a 61-56 lead with 5:21 left in the period.

Number:4. With four 3-pointers made in the first quarter, three of them consecutively, Millsap tied his season game high.
