Atlanta Hawks rookie Andrew White III scored 15 points in 17 minutes off the bench Wednesday during his NBA debut against the Detroit Pistons.

White, who shot 6-of-11 from the field and 3-of-7 from the 3-point line, hit his first shot with a layup in the first quarter off an assist by DeAndre’ Bembry.

White, who went undrafted out of Syracuse in 2017, was called up from the Hawks G League Erie Bayhawks on Feb. 11.

Last season with Syracuse, White averaged 18.5 points and shot 40.3 percent beyond the arc.
