Hawks center Edy Tavares did not play in Saturday night’s NBA Development League game for the Austin Spurs. Tavares suffered a bruised hip in Friday night’s game and was listed as probable for the contest.

Tavares has been deemed healthy and is expected to be re-assigned to the Hawks soon. He did not join the team in Miami for Sunday’s game against the Heat but will meet the team in Atlanta for Monday’s game against the Mavericks.

Tavares was to play two games with the Austin Spurs as part of the assignment but was limited to eight minutes.
