Hawks starter DeMarre Carroll is doubtful for Wednesday night’s game against the Jazz due to a groin strain. The small forward suffered the injury in Monday’s win over the Knicks. The Hawks did have some good news regarding rookie Adreian Payne. The forward/center has been upgraded to probable. He has been inactive for all six games this season, including the past five due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
Payne appeared in five exhibition games and averaged 2.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 14.0 minutes.
