Hawks starter DeMarre Carroll is doubtful for Wednesday night’s game against the Jazz due to a groin strain. The small forward suffered the injury in Monday’s win over the Knicks. Carroll has started all six games for the Hawks and has averaged 12.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 33.8 minutes.

Also included in the team’s injury report is Mike Scott, who is listed at questionable with a lower back contusion. The reserve forward was hurt when he fell hard after being fouled by Amare Stoudemire Monday.

The Hawks did have some good news regarding rookie Adreian Payne. The forward/center has been upgraded to probable. He has been inactive for all six games this season, including the past five due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

Payne appeared in five exhibition games and averaged 2.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 14.0 minutes.
